Daniel Bradburn

Daniel Bradburn is a photographer. He combines analogue and digital techniques in his work. In 2013 Daniel travelled to the Japanese island of Miyakejima. The last eruption caused so much sulphur dioxide to be ejected that the entire island was evacuated in 2000. In 2005 a large number of the islanders returned. Daniel attempts to depict ideas through subject and composition. This can be seen in the photos from Miyakejima, for example a fisherman walking away, a cloud attached to an island and a praying schoolgirl who hopes for a safe future.
