Claudio Ritfeld (1985, SR) is a poet, musician and dramatist. Self-taught, he joined the Theatre Company ‘020’ in Amsterdam where he studied under choreographer Maxi Hill. His practice has since developed from dance to encompass music, writing, composing and dramatic performance. He was recently part of two award winning shows; Tino Sehgal’s One Year at the Stedelijk (AICA Award 2017) and Julian Hetzel’s The Automated Sniper (VSCD Mime Award 2017). His latest theatrical work was a part in Rana Hamadeh’s Ten Murders of Josephine, winner of Prix de Rome 2017.

In 2012 the hip-hop and jazz formation De Nachtdienst was born of which Ritfeld is frontman, songwriter and creative director. In 2015 this project received the Most Wanted Hip Hop award and they made it to the semi-finals of Grote Prijs van Nederland. As a DIY music project they managed to successfully crowdfund and release their debut album “Piramides op Drijfzand” (2017).
