Cristina Buta is a Romanian independent researcher and curator with a background in Literary Studies & Cultural Analysis, University of Amsterdam. During her studies she developed an interest for contemporary visual art. Cristina co-curated the The Zero Space exhibition by Afghan-Dutch Dawood Hilmandi together with the artist (De Balie, 2016). Her interests center on exploring precariousness and political agency in today’s contemporary art, film and curatorial practices at the peripheries of the western European discourse.
