Nicole Bus started writing and composing her own songs at the age of 11. In her youth she regularly performed in churches and she was the supporting artist for the American Gospel singer Canton Jones in 2006. In 2008, she went on a singer-songwriter tour through Israel, Palestine and Nicaragua. This experience was very important for her career. Her winning song ‘Jerusalem’ even was the opening song for the Gospel Festival in Paradiso, Amsterdam. In December 2010 she was declared the winner in the singer-songwriter category during the finals of the Grote Prijs van Nederland by a professional jury. In 2013 Nicole participated in ‘The Voice of Holland’. This was followed by a career in which Bus often sang in English. But since some time Bus has switched back to Dutch. Her new EP ‘Nederlandse Bottom’ appeared in May 2016. The record, which is about her personal transformation, is filled with only Dutch singles.
